Goal Getter

I have spent a lot of time over the last two weeks thinking about what sort of goals I wanted to set for myself in 2018; this morning I spent some time writing them down and sharing them with some close friends.

Most of them are a continuation from 2017; which is fine!
I have a few that are big and scary and honestly, I had a hard time writing them down LOL

Some people say "keep quiet about your goals and go smash them" and some people say "Put it all out there so others can help you along the way"

I am of both schools:
There are some goals that I want people to help keep me accountable for and there are others that I want to quietly work on on my own.

I found this and found it interesting:

When we set our goals for the new year (our Resolutions) we have to look behind us at what we have accomplished thus far, troubles we may be having, but also look forward to what we want to accomplish in the year ahead.

That being said: my goals include:
*Keep with my meal plan and prep. Try to eat "on plan" 80% of the time
*DRINK WATER ... this is where I fail a LOT
*Keep at it in the gym: track and set PRs on my lifts
*Lose another 20-25 pounds
*Keep up with this blog
*Add in more cardio!

I've had to think about this.
One day of poor eating will not undo the work that I have done.
Likewise, one great day of eating will not get me to my goals.

Thinking about this also.
Not that I have lost people necessarily.
BUT that I am learning who I am and what/who is important to me.
And brings me to this:

Over the course of 2017, I had a LOT of people question what I was doing. Not just with my diet and exercise, but relationships, friendships, career and extra-curricular.
And I've had to learn to be okay with the fact that I am doing what's best for me.
That people can question what I'm doing, they can offer criticism and advice, but I have to do what I feel is right in my gut and heart.

This week was back-to-school. And let me tell you, I was EXHAUSTED after Tuesday.
BUT... Thursday...

We got a surprise Early Out and we were all SO excited!
(For ice that really didn't show up)

And then Friday was a Jeans Day/Pay Day... not much better than that!

Yesterday the new Healthy U class did their evaluations and we went in for final blood work. The three of us "winners" also got our prizes: I got the Bodyworks package with a massage, facial peel, manicure, and an over-the-sink colander, veggie spiralizer, fit chair, and meal prep containers. It's a pretty awesome package and I'm so glad I was able to get it!

I hope everyone has a blessed week, filled with goal setting and consistency <3
